Suman Masale was conceived by Mr. Ved Prakash, the eldest son of Mr. Anand Swaroopji, who was actively into the business of manufacturing masalas since 1957 through his brand Anand Masala. Mr. Ved Prakash, at an inconceivable age of just 14 years, began playing a fulltime role at Anand Masala and eventually grew to expand the brand's identity far and wide across India.

In the year 1990, Mr. Ved Prakash's father suggested that a separate brand in the same business could work towards improvement by bringing in fresh challenges and help better the product. It was with this idea that Mr. Ved Prakash conceptualized the creation of Suman Masale. Suman is the household name of Mr. Prakash's mother. In Sanskrit 'Su' means 'true' and 'man' means 'heart.' Thus the brand with this ideation and philosophy was born.

Soon Suman Masale became a distinct brand with improved technology, scientific strategies and a systematized establishment.
